OMG .... This restaurant/bakery is the best thing I've walked into in a while! Jennifer G: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing me here! And to think I actually whined to her when we were in St. Augustine about coming here because I didn't think they'd have anything I liked. She said to trust her and I did. Boy oh boy am I glad I did! When I walked in and saw the display case full of all the goodies, my mouth immediately started watering and I wanted one of everything! Unfortunately, someone had just been in about an hour before us and purchased all 30 of the remaining macarons they had. Waaaa! That's ok, there was plenty else to try. We were planning on eating when we got to St. George Street, but we had been shopping for hours at the Outlet Mall and we were both starving. Jennifer suggested we split a BLT for a snack and I was all for it. I wasn't expecting anything special, but I was surprised. It came out on a fresh croissant and the bacon was cooked perfectly and had actually been chopped. I thought it a bit odd when I first saw the bacon was chopped, but it was perfect because it ensured a huge amount of bacon in every bite. The croissant was perfect, the bacon was perfect. it really was pure perfection. Best BLT I've every had in my life. Well, best BL I've ever had in my life. I don't like T. LOL It was so good we decided to order another one... each. I got a whole one and so did she. Don't think us to be piggies... we were starving to death! :D I also got one of their chocolate eclairs which I was going to eat later, but when I finished my sandwich, I wanted to take just a bite to see how it tasted. That one bite turned into me sitting there and promptly eating the entire thing. I was just sad because it was the last one they had and I couldn't purchase more to bring home. It was the best chocolate eclair I have had since I was literally in Paris, France! The girl working there was just the sweetest thing ever. She was so happy and cheerful. She reminded me of a character from a Disney movie. Seriously. I swear there should have been birds sitting on her shoulders and chirping. See for yourself: yelp.com/biz_photos/les-… The shop is so quaint and chic. I just love it. There are just a few tables downstairs, but Jennifer told me there's more seating upstairs. We arrived about 30 minutes before they closed which is why many of the treats were gone for the day (like the macarons), so next time I'll makes sure to arrive earlier in the day! I can absolutely guarantee you this: I will never go to St. Augustine again without stopping in here and I cannot wait to take my hubby here!

I would love to give this place 5 stars, but I just can't. The food itself gets 5 stars, but the service needs some serious improvement. I went here as part of a group of 3 on a morning that had several patrons, but the place was not swamped. It is "self seating," so we grabbed a table after some folks left... and had to wait 5-10 minutes before someone came and wiped it off. Then it was another wait to get water and another wait to receive our coffee orders. Note: coffee refills for breakfast should be complimentary (!) and they aren't here. Our food took a long time as well. The barista and the gal manning the counter need training on how to keep things moving in a restaurant; they seemed really unorganized. That said, the food itself was amazing. My fiance had a breakfast crepe, I had a croissant with 2 poached eggs, and my brother had a croissant and an omelet. We were all very pleased with our food. I live in AK, but I will give this place another try the next time I'm in FL; the food is excellent, and hopefully the service will be better by then!

We found a fantastic breakfast spot in the coolest little bakery in St. Augustine. Enjoyed a delicious chocolate pastry with coffee while waiting for our crepes which arrived in short order fresh and hot. I would definitely recommend the breakfast crepe. The staff was attentive and super friendly. We'll be back for sure.

Nice quiet little place. Had the omelet croissant and it was delicious. Very nice staff and no wait.

This place is amazing. My mom and I had breakfast in this place and we we more than happy. The Nutella crepe was delicious and the omelette was huge and yummy. The service was fast despite being packed. The food felt fresh and homemade, made from scratch. I will definitely go back.

My wife and I came here on a Saturday morning. Maybe 8 pother customers. We ordered a combo of a baguette piece and croissant (which both are already made, they just need to be put on a plate with butter and jelly), and a strawberry crepe (which did have to be made). After waiting 45 minutes and watching other people come and go we inquired about the food and were told it would be right out. Fifteen minutes later we asked again and were told someone else got our food. Someone else was manning the service counter at this time. Five minutes later they brought out our food and offered us free pastries to take with is. I appreciate them trying to make it right. That should have been done the first time we inquired about our order. To be forgotten twice or put back in the que is unacceptable! It's a shame, they seem like nice people. You can't run a cafe like that though!

This is my favorite bakery in St. Augustine. I live 60 miles away, and I would almost make the drive just for the almond croissants. They are the best I've ever had--large, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The owner Phillipe is an artist at baking. Everything I've ever tried that is baked at Les Petite Pleasures is delicious: almond croissants, chocolate croissants, blueberry turnovers, jalousies (another favorite of mine), macaroons (sooooo good), baguettes (real French baguettes--super crusty, so if you don't like it that way, you may not like these). Coffee is not their specialty. It's okay to drink if you are on the go and need something warm, but I would not expect anything wonderful or even comparable to Starbucks. The store itself is tasteful and low key. It's nicely decorated and is very French. Other reviewers have complained about the service. I haven't had a bad experience, but I think that is because the turnover rate of employees. If you just pick up to go, it shouldn't be a problem.

I normally love these types of French bakeries, however not impressed here. - NO AIR CONDITIONING. This is not France, this is Florida. Having an entire room without air conditioning was just unacceptable when temperatures outside exceed 100 degrees. Worst part is, you don't find out about it until after you order and go to sit down upstairs. They only have a few tables in the air conditioned area at the entrance. - DISAPPOINTING CROQUE MONSIEUR. It was very cheesy, not very good ham, just did not taste good at all. - LIKED THE PASTIES. The pastries were pretty good. I tried their fruit tarts. - MEDIOCRE AMBIANCE. On the upside, it's much more spacious than these French cafes usually are. On the downside, the building is not decorated very nicely and the setup is a bit odd as you are walking by the kitchen, the restroom is right by the tables. Overall, was not impressed whatsoever.

We were driving by the area and looking for a breakfast place and decided to try it. We asked 2 customers about the food and they said it was "excellent". We both ordered an omelet and were pleasantly surprised that it came in a fresh croissant. The food was delicious!!!!! Can't wait to try their french macarons!!!

Visited the new location at the corner of A1A Beach Blvd and 312. Best breakfast in St Augustine. Note as well--they have an actual espresso machine and can make real coffee. I'll be back.

Great little french bakery / restaurant located just a small walk from downtown. Definitely worth going out of your way to stop in for breakfast, brunch, or to have a little snack after a day of touristing downtown St. Augustine. Parking can be an issue, as it's located on San Marco, but there are a few spots available on the street, and also very close to the parking garage downtown. There's a small dining area when you first walk in, and a larger dining area up the stairs. If it's a nice day, you can enjoy your meal or coffee outside on a few tables. The main counter holds all the pastries, and they have an amazing selection of French sweetness. They also have a menu offering up different sandwiches, quiche, and other hot food items. I have always gone with their sandwiches, particularly the BLT. I think you get to choose between a croissant or a baguette- go with the baguette, it's absolutely perfect. Nice crunch on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and the meats and cheeses are a perfect compliment. Seriously the best sandwiches I've ever had at any restaurant, they're delicious. The deserts are unbelievable- check the other reviews, it's not a fluke. The only problem is trying to decide what to get. Just give in and order one of everything, you know you want to! Service has always been good, although it's not very fast- they make your food to order, so be patient. Place your order, grab yourself a bottled water or a coffee, and sit at the table and enjoy the atmosphere with some friends. Your food will arrive, and it will be phenomenal. Definitely recommended.

Food was great. Coffee was good. Service was friendly but confused. Asked for water 4 times. Ended up buying a bottled water. Girl took our order and continued to fill bakery case. We were perplexed and sat there looking at her. Another girl came out took our order hen proceeded to have a conversation with someone else. Asked for a plate as we were sharing a quiche. The girl said "I need to clean off these tables first" never saw her again. :/

I had a very delicious breakfast here on sunday morning, they have several sweet pastries which are cooked right there in their kitchen, and also some other options for breakfast. Amongst the pastries, I strongly recommend the apple struddel, it was generous and really delicious and fullfilling!! The omelette comes inside a croissant, the croissant itself is not the best I have tried (not so tasty, and not crunchy like the real butter croissants I ate in other french places) but overall it was a nice experience! The only disappointent: coffee, We ordered regular hot coffee and it was watery and tasted like coffee in plane or instant coffee... I expected something flavory and rich like an expresso but they don´t have many options for coffee. Caution, the place becomes very crowded after 9:30 am, and it`s hard to find a table since they don´t have so many!!

The first time I experienced these wonderful delicacies was last summer. I shared a Chocolate Tart (~$4) filled with rich yummy chocolate ganache in a shortbread crust with my girlfriend. It was so luxurious and really satisfied my chocolate craving. I finally had the chance to visit their establishment in St. Augustine. This is the place to go for real French Macarons that will not disappoint. I ordered two dozen ($1.85 per piece) and almost ate all of them by myself--they were so good! I like mine super cold so I stick them in the freezer and savor each tasty bite. Overall, the quality ingredients used to make everything here are very apparent in their final products. This place is truly outstanding and I do plan on trying more of what is offered in the cases and on their menu. Until next time, mon chéri....

My breakfast choice at this cafe is simple. French Petit Dejeuner, $ 5.30. It comes with baguette, croissant, coffee, jam and butter. The last time I have such a authentic French breakfast was in Paris. I was impressed. There are many choices for breakfast, lunch and desert. Cold or hot sandwich, Quiche, Crepes, salad and pastries all freshly made on site. You will find something you like. Business hour: 7 am to 6 pm. Close on Tuesday. Limited parking space.

Got croissants and tartes and mousse from the counter. All these for my European relatives. It was a huge success, something like : "last time when we ate something so good we were in France". I highly recommend this place.

I love croissants so I was excited to try this place. Ambiance was good and waitstaff was friendly. Much to my disappointment, my croissant was chewy and tasted burned. The breakfast crepe was good but dry. My son ordered the strawberry jam crepe which was good. I asked for a bit of strawberry jam for my croissant but was told it was for "kitchen use" only. Really?! Hard to rate this place any higher.

I have been to the new location 4 times. Three of the four had problems. Have tried twice to get chicken salad---- both times I was told they just sold out---- really??? Out of tuna salad one time and out of quiche once. Really???? Last time I tried to get the combo that included a pastry---- only problem---- no pastries available. They had plain crossiants and no pastries. cant figure this place out ----want to like it but maybe won't try it again.

This place has awesome macarons (and only $1.80). I was there with 3 friends and we basically bought the entire display of macarons. The owner happened to pass by and helped serve us. We asked a lot of questions about the pastries and although he had a hard time explaining details (he had a strong French accent), he was still very patient and happy to answer our questions. The pastries were very good too. I went with a couple friends and we tried the blueberry Danish, a cheese Danish and the opera cake. They were all delicious. I like how they're not overly sweet.

Being a culinary graduate and a lifelong foodie, my opinions are critical. Les Petits Pleasures excels in pastry and coffee. If you've never painstakingly layered dough and finessed the multiple parts of a tart or cake, you just don't know. Stephanie and Phillipe deserve all the merit and credit that a CEC should. Croissants are pure magic and need nothing but more. All pastry is simple, never too sweet and purely Paris. Order what looks good, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is fun.

Both times we visited this storefront, it was unbearably HOT and cramped, the server behind the counter a clueless mix of ignorance and indifference, and the pastry items exorbitantly overpriced. No need for a long walk to an uncomfortable place, when there is an exquisite french pastry shop in the heart of downtown on Charlotte Street, DENOEL french pastry. That shop is always cool and charming, with professional and knowledgeable staff, Denoel has been in that storied location since the 60's, and the cakes, tarts, creme puffs, eclairs, and breads are amazing. Soup, quiche and sandwiches, also. Denoel far outshines the dingy, expensive and depressing Les Petit Pleasures.

This a jewel of a French bakery. We stumbled on to it walking down San Marco Avenue and it was simply serendipitous! The macarons were awesome, the salmon, cheese and mushroom crepe was absolutely delicious. But, oh the hot chocolate. It was not only served uniquely in a soup bowl, but it's made from melted dark chocolate...simply yummy! The location is small, but it has a front and back dinning room. The owners are authentically French and it is a family affair where they make all feel welcome! To my yelpie friends, if you like French food and bakeries, this is a must try. Bon Jour and Bon Appetit!!

I had to visit St Augustine for a wedding. I was staying in the comfort inn which was located across the street from this quaint little delicatessen. The food is extremely good for what it is. The pastries are what you would hope to find in any similar restaurant in France. Everything I have ordered there has cane out hot and fresh. The bad - you are going to wait a little longer than what you might expect, and the line backs up quickly. The staff are generally friendly, not overly nice for the most part, but helpful none the less. If you are in the area I would swing by, but not go out of my way.

I've been here a few times and each time service was excellent. The food is authentic and delicious! The chef is in back happy and singing in French lol I love it! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast/coffee spot.

The real deal! St. Augustine you have no idea how lucky we are to have these amazing people from Normandy. The space is simple and elegant, the service polite and attentive and the food? Yummmmmmmm. I had the mountain crepe and a hazelnut coffee. Best breakfast in a long time. I will definitely be back for the pastries next time. How happy.

The croissants were very good and the almond croissant was excellent. I had the Breakfast Crepe with egg, sausage, bacon, tomato, onion and swiss cheese. It was magnifique! So many pastries it was hard to choose. Will need to go back again soon - maybe for savory crepes or quiche from lunch menu. So glad we stopped in for breakfast.

You can't get authentic baguette anywhere anymore, except that's bullshit! This place takes all the pretenders to school. It is AS delicious and perfectly textured as any loaf made in Paris. Go and get it Fool!

I ordered the Wonderful based on how it looked, the girl at the register couldnt give me an accurate description because she was new. Also the dessert case was pretty bare so I didn't have much choice, no croissants or tarts . So I took a chance hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Maybe my palette isn't sophisticated enough to appreciate the dessert that I ordered. I hated it. I can only review what I had and what I had not my cup of tea. I think maybe I went at a bad time and ordered the wrong things, I'll have to go back and try something else like a BLT.

I couldn't leave St Augustine without having breakfast at Les Petits Pleasures! The Croquet Madame was heaven in my mouth! Left with a box of bakery delights to take back to Tampa! What a wonderful way to end the weekend!

We had a late breakfast here for the first time on Monday, May 19th. I loved everything about the place- the tasteful french inspired decor, the french music, the menu, the pretty selection of bread and pastries. Our crepes were delicious....but....the lady working there that morning, well...she wasn't quite up to par. She was standoffish and unfriendly and unprofessional . Not sure what the deal was but she ruined the "complete package" of this place. She wasn't French, not that it mattered, but I didn't want anyone to think she was the stereotypical unfriendly French person...anyway, we will come back to try another crepe and a pastry. I hope if this lady is still there she will try to crack a smile and act like she cares that you are there ...or maybe it would be best if she is not there. Hope the owner reads my review! :)

Love this place! Stumbled upon this by accident and thought I'd see how good the patisserie really was....chocolate croissant was delicious and the pastries are gorgeous. My friend got the quiche and it was exquisite.....and came with a pretty little fresh salad. Taking croissants home because they were so much like the real thing from France! Stop in for good service and a great treat!

I absolutely love this place!!! My favorite is the pear almond tart and any flavor of the danishes!! If you are going for lunch, order the chicken mushroom sandwich. It is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've lived in St Augustine for 2 years and it is one of my favorite places.

Thanks to a recommendation from a yelp friend (Jennifer G.) I was made aware of this awesome French Bakery! I was in St Augustine running some errands and didn't take into consideration what time Les Petits Pleasures would be closing. I called as I was on the way there, they answered and told me they closed at 6pm, I was a little bummed out by that news but then I was told that if I wasn't to far away that he would wait on me to get there! Awesome! I was only 10 mins away at that point! Anyways, I get there and I was kindly greeted by Philippe. I walked over to the pastry display and seen what I went there to try (macarons) plus some other delicious looking treats. I got one of each flavor Macaron available and an extra salted caramel and green tea. I also got one of each other pastry that he had available in the display to show my appreciation for him allowing me entry after they have already closed. Philippe was very friendly and even let me sample a few of the various flavors of macarons. The eclairs were very lite and refreshing and didn't have an overpowering filling. Needless to say, the drive here was well worth it! Everything was fantastic. Now that I know of this place I will more than likely be a frequent customer. This place is indeed a gem!

Every time I visit St. Augustine, I make sure to drop in to Les Petits Pleasures. The crepes are well made, the sandwiches are delicious, and the bakery items are to die for. Since they are a little outside the main hot spots, it's never terribly during prime breakfast/lunch hours unlike most of the eateries in the city. Seating is limited though, so you may have to get something to-go, but it's well worth it.

Great food and great people. Had a vanilla latte that was one of the best I've had in a long time. Was recommended by a local of 35 years. Open early and almost every day. Pastries are amazing. Owner/chef came out and said hello. Very personable. Heading there Sunday with the wife for breakfast and coffee.

We bought a blueberry cream tart and coconut macaroon that we liked. The tart pastry was crisp and the blueberries sweet and fresh and the coconut macaroon was yummy.

Not impressed. Quiche was not creamy enough and the crust was stale. The lady brought me my coffee and when I asked if it had sugar she told me to go get some downstairs. Seems like people are not sure of their roles here. No ice and fridge is barely above room temperature.

So this is where they've been hiding my little macarons! After going to Luli's cupcakes and buying a couple macarons their, me and my yelp friend decided to walk around St. Augustine. As we were making our way down San Marco Ave. We saw this little French bake shop called Les Petits Pleasures, and both decided to go inside. I was immediately drawn to the pastry case and when I saw the macarons my heart almost came out of my chest it was beating so hard! They were beautiful! I asked the lady who was working behind the counters what flavors they were and at first she jokingly began to say the colors instead of the flavors, but as soon as she said earl grey...I said I'd take all the earl grey macarons they had left, sadly they only had 3 left, which is understandable bc we got their 30 minutes before they closed and they aren't open on Wednesdays:-(. I paid the nice lady for my macarons and we headed outside to try them, one bite and I was in heaven! This my friend is what all earl grey macarons should strive to be... It was like a burst of beautifully composed flavors exploding in your mouth in the best possible way! You got the punch of the tea, the filling...honestly it's just so good it's hard to describe, but you really need to try this place if you like/love macarons. I was almost debating wether or not to write this review bc now the secret is out, but it's a local business and I'm all for local business's, plus they said they will take in pre-advanced orders! All I know is I found a hidden gem! They also offer a lot of other yummy stuff on their menu, just check out my pictures, or better yet get on over there! I know I'll be going back!!

Love it! Best French pastries in town and great baguettes. Today I had their Croque Monsieur and it was the best I've had outside of France! This is a small place on San Marco Avenue (north end of the city) and only has about 4 tables. There's a very nice sandwich and crepe menu, and If you're staying around there, you can get it all to go. Or you could wait for a table, which usually doesn't take too long. It's worth the wait.

So we happened to be driving by and thought "that's a cute place, let's check it out!" Well that's about all I can say, it's a cute little shop! I love french bakeries so I was happy to find one away from home. I had a cup of coffee--french vanilla, turkey and brie sandwich, and an apple strudel. The coffee was regular, just pumped it out of the coffee thermos...I guess I thought it would be more fancier with a fresh made coffee. The turkey and brie sandwich was very good. That actually was the highlight of this experience, except that it took awhile for them to make. The apple strudel was pretty disappointing. The pastry seemed to taste like it had been there for a day or two. It just wasn't all that at all. I guess I'll just wait to get home to satisfy that want... The restaurant itself is a cute little shop that we liked. Hopefully the food (pastries) aren't regularly served that way.

Great baguettes and croissants. Highly recommend the omelette croissant. Can be very crowded and difficult to eat in on a weekend morning, so I would advise that you plan to take out. Also, parking is very limited.

Just marvelous! I was reminded of my time in Europe. Croce Madame with salad was superb ! Go early before the baguettes are all gone! We plan to return often to this lovely French cafe. A must see in St. Augustine.

Just like at the lycée francais. Et patisseries comme a Paris. The only thing missing is a proper cafe au lait and a pastis and water...c'est la vie...croissants and jalousie for 3.2 , croque mr. for 7.6 but add a croissant and water/coffee for $3 more or any patisserie for an 2 surcharge. Tarte aux fruits, fraises et peches for 4.6. Seating for 8 at 3 tables, loft 'bar' seats another 5. Friendly service.

  • Jason Z.

More like 3.5 stars. Nice little bakery/bistro. Ordered the Croque Madame which was good but I've had better and the vanilla eclair which a little dry for my taste. Friend had the Chicken and Mushroom Croissant which she said was a little bland and the Opera which was really good. I would probably go back but nothing I feel was that special.

A French-themed bakery open for breakfast and lunch (perhaps also dinner, not sure on that) and offering fairly-standard, simple, French fare such as sweet and savory crêpes, quiche, sandwiches, and a goodly assortment of pastries. The pastries, to be honest, seem a collection of French and other influences--I won't say they're exactly what you'd expect in France and there are some obvious British influences in their presentation, too BUT regardless, they're very tasty and generous in size. The sandwhich I had also was quite good and the atmosphere of the small shop can only be described as charming. The staff seem to be very passionate about their business, especially Eve, who is possibly the owner and appears to put 110% into making sure customers are pleased. Prices are more than reasonable and service is fairly prompt. I would like to see a more diverse menu and while my custard tart was very good--and custard itself especially--the pastry dough wasn't as flaky was you'd expect for a French-style pastry. Still, it's a great spot for lunch and I've heard they have homemade bread fresh in the mornings, too.

This little French bakery caught my attention as we were driving down St Augustine and we just had to pull over and stop in! The decor is beautiful! its such a quaint little cafe. We got a "combo" with a pastry, coffee and sandwich for about $11.50 Coffee was good and for $1.69 a cup (if you got it alone), i wouldnt expect the coffee to be brewed to order - it was served in coffee dispensers. Wasn't impressed with the pastry. We tried some apple strudel thing and it was just meh. i had higher hopes and expectations. The sandwich however was delicious! Turkey breast, brie, sliced apples with some mustard mayo type sauce... it was on point and enough for 2 to share if your looking for a small snack or light lunch.

Les Petites Pleasures is the best new place in town, I probably sound like an advertiser, I am not, however you can regret this little treats, including their breakfast crepe, mine was with ham instead of sausage, we also had the omelet croissants, every thing is big but it excellent, we also had their pastries like Napoleon and fruit tarts. We know French food and this is the best I had in a long time. They have two floors with tables, just be patient and you will love this place.!

One of my favorite places in St. Augustine! Great pastries. I usually go for the chocolate croissant or the cheese pastry with the hashtag symbol (I am sure there is a fancy word for that) in a raspberry sauce. Very small and cute and non-touristy.

Terrible customer service, absolutely no pastries or baked items available on this Sunday, no cold beverages available and no ice for the warm beverages they serve. The cold food I ordered was served warm. The cashier told me to 'take it up with the owner' so I asked to speak with the owner, who was conveniently unavailable and does not have an office phone number. Poorly run establishment selling sub par food. I won't be returning.

I stumbled upon this bakery after driving by it in St. Augustine for 3 years. It is divine! We ordered sandwiches to go and several dessert items! The chicken salad croissant is delicious and my ham and cheese croissant was great also. The bakery items were amazing. The Almond and Pear Tart and Chocolate Tarts were delicious! They are as close to France as you will find. I spent time in France and enjoy a good patisserie. In France their patisserie items are buttery and not too sweet like American desserts which I found to be refreshing in this bakery! They also have amazing hot chocolate and macaroons! Bon appetite!
